Contrast Stage
The contrast stage gives us the cyclic principle, “Contrast what has happened with something unexpected.” This stage brings us twists, surprises, coincidences, and unexpected developments. The previous two stages highlighted the problems at the core of our tale and explored the difficulties in solving them. This stage brings us unexpected developments, ideas, and allies that turn the situation on its head, something previously unaccounted for that makes something else possible.
