Yellow fever mosquito

The yellow fever mosquito comes from Africa, but has since spread all around the world. It spreads yellow fever, but also other diseases, including dengue fever. You can recognize it by the white markings on its legs and a marking in the form of a lyre on the upper surface of its thorax. Like other mosquitoes, they lay their eggs in pools of stagnant water. They prefer to feed at dusk and dawn, in shady areas and enclosed spaces, but they can appear anywhere at any time.
