Mole viper

Mole vipers, also known as stiletto snakes, burrowing asps, or atractaspidids, form a family of snakes from Africa and Asia. Though this family includes several venomous species, most lack the size to envenomate a human effectively. Some can cause tissue necrosis (e.g., if one bites your finger, you could lose the tip of that finger), and relapses can occur long after the initial bite. But these snakes cause very few deaths, though some, like the small-scaled burrowing asp, can pose a considerable threat.
