Introduction Stage

The introduction stage gives us the cyclic principle, “Draw lines.” Tales begin in the introduction stage by introducing us to problems — specifically, by drawing lines, introducing divisions, and cutting the web of relationship that binds a /rpg/compendium/community together.

After the introduction stage, we move on to the development stage.

#Childhood

Vanishingly few children mean to sow division or draw lines, but they still do. They haven’t had time to develop all of the relationships that weave them into the community, and so they may act in foolish ways that can introduce difficulty and strife. Children don’t embody this stage out of malice, but out of a lack of experience. When they draw lines, they do so unwittingly — though they draw them, nonetheless.
